LEDs for spectral range of 2.7 - 4.7 µm

Light Emitting Diodes

Mid-infrared LEDs is known to be prospective light sources for gas sensors. The characteristic absorption bands of a number of hydrocarbon compounds, natural gases lie in the wavelength range of 2.7 - 4.7 µm. The InAsSb/InAsSbP heterostructures are used for manufacturing LEDs emitting in this spectral range.
