Laser
diodes for spectral range 1.6£2.4
mm
mounted in 9 mm (SOT-148) package (Models LDXXXp-TO) can operate in
pulse regime without cooling. These lasers are based on
GaSb/AlGaAsSb/InGaAsSb laser structures. Such laser diodes
can be used as a coherent light source in mid-infrared spectral
range.

an example here are shown typical spectrum and power-current
characteristics of laser diode Model LD203p-TO.

|
Standard Models LDXXXp-TO are made on
the base of narrow-stripe laser structures and have peak power
about 50 mW and multi-mode (MM) or single transverse (ST) but not
SLM mode structure.
