Since its foundation to present day the Company employees have strived
to minimize the gap between the scientific development and the resulting
marketable product. From the outset the Company was oriented to the world
market high requirements. At present IBSG Co., Ltd maintains and develops
complete cycle of optoelectronic devices manufacture and test. Epitaxy
process unit includes LPE plants and MOCVD ones. This allows such clasic
technology benefits as economic efficiency and reliability to be combined
with advantages of the most up-to-date techniques like thin layers and
quantum wells creation feasibility.
Nowadays no other company in the world than
IBSG Co., Ltd. manufactures complete families of LEDs of 1600-3000
nm spectral range and only very few ones manufacture a family of
semiconductor lasers of 1600-4600 nm range. The Company is successful
under the conditions of hard competition at the market of mid IR photodiodes.
A rise in power and operational temperature owing to the novel structures,
gain of LED lifetime and stability, designing of new thermocooled LEDs,
the speed increase and creation of quite novel position-sensitive photodiodes,
interfacing of lasers, LEDs and photodiodes with optical fibre are the
main development lines of the Company that is headed by Ph.D., Professor
Yuri
P. Yakovlev.
Home market being a long-term priority for IBSG,
the Company at present subsists largely on the commerce in 5 economically
evolved countries, that is, USA, Japan, Germany, UK and France. IBSG marketing
strategy is based on the work with laser distributors as well as on the
search of direct contact with outstanding users. It took several years
to gain the outstanding distributors faith. Now not a survey of European
market in the most popular journal - Laser Focus World - omits IBSG and
its products. The contracts are also conducted for custom made devices.
Hand in hand with its French, German, UK, Chech and Polish partners IBSG
participates the ecology scientific projects sponsored by EEC (INCO-Copernicus)
as well as by other international groups.
Despite the limited resources and owing to the highest
proficiency and to the extraordinary amicable spirit of the team the Company
managed to compete advantageously to much more potent companies even in
its early severe years of trouble.
